DIY Project #28: Easy Sew Metallic Infinity Scarf

DIY Project #28: Easy Sew Metallic Infinity Scarf

While we’re packing our winter woollies away down here (unless you live in Melbourne! Yikes it’s still cold down there!), our lovely friends in the Northern Hemisphere are just getting ready for cold climes.

I thought it would be the perfect time for a little Fall scarf DIY and I found a tricky little product that switches up plain old jersey fabric to something sparkly and new.

This is a really easy sewing project and a great way to design your own fabric without the fuss of dyes.

You’ll need to pop over to our crafty column at Say Yes to Hoboken to check it out, but before you go, grab these materials and take a sneak peek:

If you live in my town (Brisbane), I purchased the amazing paper for this DIY here.

We hope you enjoy making lots of lovely scarfs to keep you toasty this winter!

  1. This is pretty, Rachael! Perfect timing, too, as we had this autumn’s first snowfall last night. Only problem is the state-of-the-art iron in our new rental apartment… I just read the manual, and it’s downright scary! The thing is so advanced, it looks like you could land on the moon with it. The apartment owner is male, of course =/

Thanks honey! Can’t believe you have snow already! Very jealous – I would so love to live somewhere where it snows :) That iron sounds a bit full on – let me know how it goes!

  2. Will do! My own iron is in storage because we just moved. I inherited it from an aunt, and it’s really lovely; heavy and shiny, with a thick black and red cord and a black Bakelite handle… Re our snow: it’s super pretty, but a bit impractical for everyday living. We’ve got several months of woolen clothes and dangerously icy pavements ahead of us – so I’m a bit jealous of your warm weather =)
