DIY Project #36: Cute Candy Wrappers
To celebrate our new little newsletter, we’ve made a cute freebie for all our new subscribers so you can DIY your own candy wrappers!
We think this would make a gorgeous handmade Christmas gift, especially when you can whip up a whole batch of candy wrappers in just ten minutes.
You could pop them into a pretty box and give to your friend or your mum.
Subscribe to our newsletter and you’ll get your free candy wrapper download straight away so you can start making your candy treats today.
Let’s get started with the materials:
- Candy wrappers download (Subscribe to our newsletter to receive yours)
- Sewing machine or needle and thread
These candy wrappers are super easy to make (this would be a great first time sewers project too).
STEP 01 // CUT YOUR WRAPPERS
Print your wrappers out onto regular copy paper of a very thin card.
Cut your wrappers so they are ready to assemble.
Step 02 // ASSEMBLE YOUR WRAPPERS
Fold one wrapper into the middle, right side out.
Sew or hand stitch along one end.
Place your candy inside.
Twist your paper down to the opposite side to form a triangle, sew or hand stitch along the new end to close your wrapper.
Repeat the steps to make a whole bowl of candy goodies!
We hope you enjoy our monthly newsletter and thanks to all our lovely new subscribers for joining in the fun.
PS. Thanks to Sibylle for the candy wrapper inspiration.
