Link Love + Blogger Essentials No.1

Have you been reading the amazing recaps the Alt Summit Team has been collating? There is some serious inspiration for not just bloggers, but anyone who has a small business and a web presence.

I’ve been reading every word and thinking about how all this wonderful advice will create new adventures, collaborations and directions for Penelope and Pip. One thing I do know for sure – I love creating original content and so today I thought instead of the usual instagram photo I put up for our weekend roundup, I’d start a new little illustration series with fun blogger essentials.

The first is my absolute favourite, a trusty pair of ballet flats.

I have a pair under my desk all the time and there’s usually a pair hanging out by the front door and there’s probably a pair in the back of my car as well. Hey, when you have a short boyfriend, these shoes are important!

Working from home means I don’t have to get all fancy (although I do have fancy ballet flats too), and I’m betting many of you makers, crafters, bloggers, designers and musicians out there working from home have a couple of pairs of these too (don’t worry gents, I’ve got a man shoe post in the works for you too!).
