Loved It, Made It: Green Villages DIY Ideas
I was chatting with Kirsteene from Etsy Australia the other day and she told me all about a cute project she knew I’d love.
The City of Sydney teamed up with Etsy Australia recently to produce three ‘crafty gift idea’ videos and fact sheets that show how easy it is to give sustainably this Christmas. Their site Green Villages is a choc full of amazing ideas and projects!
We’re already on board with the Furoshiki wrap in our kid’s Christmas project, but the terrarium and macramé plant holder looked amazing, so of course we needed to give one a go!
We’re never one to pass up the opportunity for pom poms and hot pink neon, so we gathered the supplies and got knotting:
We added sequins to ours (of course!), but you could add feathers and paper flowers – each one could be unique to suit the personality of the friend you’re gifting to.
The steps were really easy to follow and we had our pretty plant holder hanging in no time.
You can check out the video tutorials here (they have seriously cute music!):

Thanks Kirsteene for the great link!
[See what else we've been making lately. Go on, get crafty with us!]

I seriously cannot pass up an opportunity for neon string and sequins either! I just love how cheerful your project are
